The annual Robertson Wacky Wine Weekend (WWW) took place from 4-7 June
and thousands of visitors made their way to Rietvallei during this exciting
weekend.
Our program included Emo Adams, Wickus van der Merwe and an entertaining karaoke show during the evenings. The old favourites also had their usual following like the Grappa Shot4Shot Challenge and the Bow Shooting. It was once again a huge success and we are thankful to each and every visitor, supporting us.

Slowing down from the WWW, we will have a more personal and relaxed experience during the Robertson Slow Festival, 7-10 August. The Burger Family will open their house for up to twenty people to have a fun filled lunch, tasting older vintages of Red Muscadel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz as well as barrel samples of vintages to come.

On the 6th of May 2009, Annelize, Johnny's daughter, gave birth to her and André's firstborn son, Christian. The family was overcome with joy with his arrival and happy to report that everything went well and mom and baby are perfectly healthy.
Christian is Johnny's third grandchild (with Kobus already having two daughters) and he and Juanita are proud, and actively involved grandparents, already favourites in the little ones' lives.
